Roots reggae. Reawakened.
Formed on April 1, 1980 in Gibraltar Hill, St. Mary, Chalice emerged as one of Jamaica’s most accomplished live reggae bands. The group built its identity around rich vocal harmonies, polished musicianship, conscious songwriting and the energy of live performance.
Across more than four decades, Chalice has performed on major international stages, recorded an enduring catalogue and carried Jamaican reggae to audiences around the world. Guided by founding member Wayne Armond and early-era drummer Rolando “Phanso” Wilson, the renewed Chalice continues to honour that foundation while creating music for a new generation.
In 2026, Chalice returned to active US touring and released “House of Music” with Prezident Brown—a celebration of music, culture and community.
